If you are looking for an effective way to understand and reclaim your “God-given” power, you might consider meditation.

I great personal development course / book I recommend that teaches principles and application via meditation is The Master Key System, by Charles F Hannel.  As the website bearing his name explains:

Like Napoleon Hill, Charles Haanel studied and researched the secrets and keys to mastering the Universe. He took his knowledge and put it together into twenty- four part educational course that became The Master Key System. He began to share these findings with some of the world’s wealthiest people sending them a new section of the course on a weekly basis. These wealthy people were so impressed with the findings that they begged Charles not to go public with The Master Key System. Charles did decide to publish the system in book format; however, he NEVER intended for it to be for the general public. Copies of Haanel’s original books are rarely found today.  – http://www.charleshaanel.com/

Rumored to have been a guiding blueprint for Bill Gates, the first time I began the course several years ago, I had what’s called a “Kundalini awakening” three weeks into it.   I began working with the internal energy that was “awakened” and stopped the course shortly after in favor of  “easier” practices.  lol

Several years later, I’ve returned to The Master Key willing and able to put forth the mental commitment it requires and I’m enjoying both the lessons and application.  The course is truly a simple to apply yet mentally challenging in a very good way.

You can learn more about the course here and/or download a free copy at The Master Key System

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live. ” – Johann Von Goethe

“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live. ” – Johann Von Goethe

I got this quote today after having a late night of dealing with buried emotions from my past in a very productive and somewhat intuitive way. Thankfully, I resolved these emotions and saw the incident they were tied to in a whole new light. But this happened only because I was willing to ask for a better understanding. In fact, I asked “if we are put in circumstances for our best and highest development, then why did this happen?”

It took a lot of stilling my mind and letting go of urges to seek some external re-source for the answer for me to just be still and allow the answer to come. Finally, I began to see how this incident had caused a clear chain of events in my life that taught me valuable lessons that are paramount to my continued growth today. Relaying the whole situation from then and now to my wife, I even realized that the whole “story line” that I could clearly see now was much like some amazing movie script. lol My “hidden” resentment disappeared last night, thanks to taking the time to still myself and allow my “God-given emotional guidance system” to teach, and I am now grateful for the whole situation. What a change!

This sort of change can for anyone regarding anything from your past, so if you’d like to know the full process I used, join my new “Spiritual Practice” email list by visiting http://www.reverbnation.com/johnstringeraskrl

Have you read “Spiritual Liberation?” by Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith

Spiritual Liberation

I thoroughly enjoy reading books on self-development and have been blessed to find many that have assisted in my spiritual journey.  One such book is Dr. Micheal Bernard Beckwith’s latest offering, “Spiritual Liberation: Fulfilling Your Soul’s Potential.”    I just started reading it recently, and although I’m only on the 7th chapter, it is so good, I decided to join the Amazon associate program today (which allows me to recommend this and all my other favorite books)!

For context, you may remember Dr. Beckwith from “The Secret.”  My wife and I met Dr. Beckwith on 2/11/07 while visiting his LA based Agape International Spiritual Center.   We were extremely moved durring our visit and came back searching for a similar environment here in Atlanta, GA (we were fortunate to find the sister church only 15 minutes from our home).

I’ve been equally moved by “Spiritual Liberation” b/c it is simply powerful.  I read a chapter each day along with the affirmations and embodiments at the end.  Once I’m finished, I feel much like I do after an incredible meditation.

The forward, by Marianne Williamson, describes the book perfectly:

“Michael Bernard Beckwith, through his ever-deepining understanding of God and human existence, has already cast a wide net of influence.  With this book, the many lessons he has learned, the information he has acuumulated, and the insights that have illumined his mind will now illumine yours”.

Have you read the book already or are you reading it now?  What are  your thoughts on it?
