If you are looking for an effective way to understand and reclaim your “God-given” power, you might consider meditation.
I great personal development course / book I recommend that teaches principles and application via meditation is The Master Key System, by Charles F Hannel. As the website bearing his name explains:
Like Napoleon Hill, Charles Haanel studied and researched the secrets and keys to mastering the Universe. He took his knowledge and put it together into twenty- four part educational course that became The Master Key System. He began to share these findings with some of the world’s wealthiest people sending them a new section of the course on a weekly basis. These wealthy people were so impressed with the findings that they begged Charles not to go public with The Master Key System. Charles did decide to publish the system in book format; however, he NEVER intended for it to be for the general public. Copies of Haanel’s original books are rarely found today. – http://www.charleshaanel.com/
Rumored to have been a guiding blueprint for Bill Gates, the first time I began the course several years ago, I had what’s called a “Kundalini awakening” three weeks into it. I began working with the internal energy that was “awakened” and stopped the course shortly after in favor of “easier” practices. lol
Several years later, I’ve returned to The Master Key willing and able to put forth the mental commitment it requires and I’m enjoying both the lessons and application. The course is truly a simple to apply yet mentally challenging in a very good way.
You can learn more about the course here and/or download a free copy at The Master Key System

I received a newsletter from ONE.org to day penned by Melinda Gates. It informed me that she and Bill have been having great success working to make a difference in Health Care around the world:
“When I visited Ethiopia earlier this year, I met Tsion, a hard-working young woman in the government’s Health Extension Program. She is trained to tend to pregnant mothers, who otherwise would rely on traditional attendants unable to stop internal bleeding or resuscitate newborns. Tsion has helped take the terror and fear of death out of childbirth for hundreds of women.“
Melinda asked ONE Members to help “spread Tsion’s story, and others—so more Americans realize our tremendous progress improving health around the world and are moved to support America’s continued leadership in global health.
“Please join us on Tuesday, October 27, at 7 PM (EST) for a live online presentation titled “Living Proof: Why we are Impatient Optimists.” RSVP to watch:
Thanks to 30,000 trained health extension workers like Tsion, access to health care in rural areas is rapidly expanding. And the health of Ethiopian children and women is improving.
That’s why, when it comes to global health, Bill and I are optimists—but we’re impatient optimists. We need to build on this success now, by expanding it to even more women in Ethiopia and helping families in other countries benefit from what Ethiopia has learned.”
I plan to make the call and hope you can, too. Jut RSVP for the webcast via the link so you can “ learn for yourself how U.S. investments in global health are changing the world, and share the proof with your network“:
PS. Melinda also I wrote more about her experiences with Tsion in Ethiopia for the ONE Blog. You can read her entry here: http://www.one.org/r?r=236&id=1275-3791833-sgcfT9x&t=4
